Who do I call to ask about donating a horse for the Houston Mounted Police?

I want to adopt a horse from the SPCA and donate it to the Houston Police Mounted Patrol. Is this possible to do? Who do I call

PriyaM 		I would see if they will take the horse first. Call up the mounted unit before you go ahead and make any plans.

SultanE 		Presumably, they would do the same thing, if they were in need of a horse. If you plan to nurse a horse back to health at your own expense and then donate it, perhaps they might be interested. HPD has a website; www.houstontx.gov/police/index.html.
