Whats the best way to find an apartment in Houston?

I am new to Houston and I need to know how much apartment I can get for my money.

JasonS 		The same as any US city. Craigslist and Real Estate agents. Real Estate agents sometimes cost you money so start on craigslist. Be sure to pay attention to if it is listed through a real estate agent or not.

This can also be a great resource for researching what you're up against as far as price is concerned.

HoustonMytown 		It really depends where you want to live in Houston. Places closer to downtown and colleges/universities tend to be pricier but you can get a lot for your money further out. Here are some listings in Houston starting at under $400/month:

You can contact the properties through those web sites to inquire about renting and set up tours.

SmithK 		Craigslist in Houston is a great place to start and you can start your research there in the section apts/housing. If your moving for work ask yourself how long/short of a commute time do you want? Then research the areas that are close to your work within that commute time.

Below is a Houston Apartment Locators link that will send you a free list and pick you up for free from your Hotel and drive you around.

I would contact them and since its free let them do all the leg work for you. Hope you find an apartment!
