What is a good Restaurant/Bar for a small gathering of friends in Houston?

I am coming home on leave from the Navy next week. Looking for a place that me and my old friends can eat, have drinks and maybe some live music (jazz, blues) would be nice. Laid back, fun atmosphere type of place. Any suggestions?

My first suggestion would be Kona Grill (sugarland and galleria location). www.konagrill.com

Check out the Happy Hour menu and timings (they also have reverse happy hour). The atmosphere, food and price are all great (avoid sugarland as half the people are sleezy and young)

Try the town center (sugarland) area for bars.
