How do I join tailgating group in houston?

We recently went tailgating for the first time and had a great time. A friend invited us and it was a company function/one time thing. We would really like to go regularly. So many of the groups were so big I figure its gotta be more than just friends and family...how do I join a group?

Two ways both will provide the same result.

1. Walk around with a cooler on wheels and just talk to folks. Believe me folks are there for a good time all you have to do is be personable. The only downside to this is you may feel uncomfortable roaming around and talking to everyone.

2. Start your own- Start with 3 people and get to cooking/ drinking. Then casually talk to people tailgating around you and bam after a couple of weeks people get used to seeing you and quite naturally open up.

People are there to have fun whether they go by themselves or a large group. So go be yourself, have fun and if its just two of you so what!

Most big groups, other than corp. events, are a collection of smaller tailgates so don't be intimidated.
