Rice Village or Montrose in Houston, which is safer?

I currently live in Montrose and i am looking at a house in Rice Village. I am not familiar with the neighborhood. Which one is safer?

SultanE 		Rice Village would be safer than Montrose but less interesting though it's still much more interesting than the rest of Houston.
